I can get tired in 0.5 seconds flat.

I can get tired in 0.5 seconds flat.

There are 4 songs that I listen to every night and those make me fall asleep VERY fast.

Yoyoyoyooyoo brotherrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Hope you are doing fantastic as always.

This is going to be a VERY long email.

Wanted to warn you about that now so you know what’s going to come and are not surprised later.

So I have 4 songs that I listen to almost every night to fall asleep.

And those 4 songs aren’t songs that someone would consider as songs to fall asleep to but because I’m a genius I made it work.

These 4 songs that I listen to are by NF.

And I have no idea how this started that those 4 songs made me tired but they just do at this point.

The songs are “Hate Yourself”, “Time”, “Lost In The Moment”, and “Paralyzed”.

Again, they are not really sleep songs but yeah.

Anyway.

You might ask yourself how I did that.

And it’s not really a secret formula or anything.

(I am getting tired right now while writing this because I think about the melody haha)

But it’s not hard to do that yourself.

How it happened for me was I started listening to those 4 songs for a few days in a row at night while falling asleep, and then slowly I started associating those with sleeping.

And then I created a playlist called “Sleep” and yeah.

That’s the story kinda.

End of email.

Nahhhhh I’m only joking.

I would never write such a short email.

But then recently, I think about 3 weeks ago or something I created a shortcut on my phone.

And that waits 30 seconds, puts the volume on 80% (a little too loud to fall asleep), and opens the playlist.

And then I just need to put the songs into the playing order and then after 30sec it starts playing the first song.

That leaves enough time so that I can put my phone away, lie down into a good position and then just listen to the music.

And the thing is also that when I listen to those songs, I force myself to not move at all.

Which basically is kinda like a cheat code in a way because that means that your body gets tired or more relaxed way faster.

Because if you move around all the time you need to wait for your mind to get tired before your body does.

And when I make my body fall asleep first it gets way faster for my mind to fall asleep later when the songs are done.

And the great thing is that I love a sensation that happens from this.

Bro this is going to be a long email because I have so many thoughts coming into my brain that I could go on tangents on right now but whatever.

But I basically let my body fall asleep by ignoring every single sensation that your body makes to test if you are asleep or not yet.

For example that could include itchy sensations or little muscle spasms etc.

And basically when you ignore all of those, your body thinks that you are asleep but your mind is still awake.

And that makes it so that you experience hypnagogia which basically is the phase where your body is asleep but your mind isn’t and so your body starts to go into sleep paralysis but your mind is still awake.

And that makes you feel weird things.

For example then you get this spinning sensation where it feels like (at least for me) that you are in this void in your bed and you are surrounded by nothing and you’re just floating there.

And then the camera POV thing so where you see yourself is spinning and that makes you dizzy.

But you get that dizzy sensation because your muscles are relaxing but then my brain makes this “movie scene” kinda to explain that sensation.

Or another thing is that I find really fascinating is that when I am in this state it feels like my head and neck are deformed or not a part of my body anymore or are sideways from my body.

It feels extremely weird but it’s also very cool in a way.

But also that’s the phase that most people who lucid dream use to go from awake to enter a lucid dream.

And I was very big into lucid dreaming myself in the past, that’s why I find the entire process of sleep extremely interesting but yeah.

The best lucid dream I had was that I completely annihilated a person I didn’t like.

But yeah sorry I’m getting off topic.

Basically this entire email was off topic apart from the first 100 words haha but whatever.

If you enjoyed reading this email and learned something new from it, be sure to reply (or don’t) and we can talk more about this fascinating topic of sleep and conditioning your brain to certain actions with repeated behavior.

Oh shit this email is 822 words long now already.

Gotta stop writing now haha.

I will talk to you tomorrow with definitely a wayyy shorter email.

Hope you didn’t mind this though.

Talk to you tomorrow.
